Quantum2 Leadership Development Workshop

You're invited to attend a Dialog Quantum2 leadership development
workshop. The goal of Quantum2 is to help information professionals
develop the leadership competencies required to manage an information
center like a business, take an active role in developing information
policy for the organization, and be involved in strategic decisions -
ultimately to be an agent for change. Don't miss this free session
featuring two Quantum2 workshops

Where: Dialog / West Office, 50 California Street, 19th Floor

               San Francisco, CA 94111-4624

When: Wednesday, February 26, 2003

Arrival and registration: 1:00-1:30; Workshop: 1:30 PM to
4:30 PM

Leading the Way (1:30-2:30): In a working environment characterized by
relentless change, leadership is a necessary ingredient for professional
success. This session identifies and describes the 10 business and
strategic competencies required for information professionals to define
and communicate the value of the information center to stakeholders
within their organizations and sets the framework within which all other
Quantum2 sessions interconnect with each other

Mapping Information Flow (2:45-4:30) : This session illustrates how a
detailed view of how information flows within an organization benefits
the information professional in efforts to assess client needs, define
services, allocate resources and create budgets. The session takes you
through mapping information flow from a strategic point of view to
identify the ultimate users, identify products that best serve the
organization and extend the IRC services into the organization.
