If you think you will benefit, I'll approve on my level and move on to
Norma. As for making the call, my impression(from there marketing materials
and hearing ACL staff talk about sessions) is that this stuff is extremely
elementary. The $75 dollar fee could be better used IMHO sending you to
three differenct SLA dinners. This campus has approved us attending SLA
things in the past and I expect it to do so again. But, if you think it will
help, I 'm agreeable.

what we have learned through our years of training library staff throughout

Workshop Instructor: Roberta Perry. Roberta leads two lifes! One as a
communication workshop trainer since 1978. She has a MA in Public Address
and Rhetoric from Bradley University; and has been a Distinguished member
of Toastmasters International for over 20 years.
Her second life is as a New Business & Brand Extension Consultant in the
Entertainment and Themed Entertainment Industry. When these two lifes come
together expect to have fun learning how to improve your presentation
skills!
Who Should Attend: Anyone in a California library - including library
friends, trustees and commissioners - with an interest in making more
effective presentations.
Prerequisites: A strong interest in learning new presentation delivery
skills in order to increase your presentation effectiveness and audience
receptiveness.
Fee: There is a $75.00 fee for this workshop. Infopeople does not provide
parking passes, lunch or refreshments.
