I actually wrote a similar article (more anecdotal, though; no stats)
for PR Tactics several years ago. Same principles apply--but that
doesn't mean that the lesson will sink in. People don't realize that
their time costs money, and I don't think articles like this have much
of an impact.

And I agree with Rita. :-)
