* Looking for an opportunity to network with other librarians who are
responsible for collection development/bibliographic instruction in
public health?
* Hoping to meet and network with public health faculty/practitioners?
* Curious about hot topics and very current research in public health?
* Want to gain perspective on a field outside librarianship?
* Need some financial help to afford all of this fun?
If you are a librarian or information professional currently working
with or soon to work with public health practitioners/faculty, read on!
The Grace and Harold Sewell Memorial Fund, Inc. (The Fund) was
established to improve librarians' understanding of medical and health
care professionals. The Fund is offering stipends to librarians and
other information professionals to defray
membership/registration/travel/other per diem expenses involved in their
attending and/or participating in the American Public Health
Association's (APHA) Annual Meeting, November 15-19, 2003 in San
Francisco, CA.
Local attendees (Greater San Francisco Bay Area) will receive a stipend
of $450. Non-local attendees will receive $800.These amounts---while
significant--are not intended to cover all expenses.
