Subject: Bayline Article Request and New Submission Standards

The next issue of Bayline is gearing up. You are most
welcome to submit articles to me for publication. The
deadline for article submissions is October 5th.

SUBMISSION STANDARDS WITH CHANGES:

COPYRIGHT: All articles should be new writing and have
not been published anywhere else before this
submission. Please note that you agree not to submit
an edited version of a work you have published
elsewhere. You, the author, give Bayline a one-time
publication right and agree to have your work
published online in Bayline. The articles are archived
on the SLA-SF website. However, you retain future
publication rights to your work.

LENGTH: Less than 1000 words -- that is, 1-2 single
spaced pages.

DOCUMENT FORMAT: Please single space your document.
NEW: May be submitted in any word processing format
using any font. You may put bold, italics, tables,
hyperlinks, etc., as you wish. Do NOT use TAB key.

IMAGES: NEW: Any format is acceptable but TIF is
preferred. If you know how to resize, please do, but
if not I can do it. Please note that images make the
Bayline much larger to download and this is a problem
for a one or two people, so I am trying to balance the
look with the needs of less technologically current
users.

Final Note: Bayline product is ACROBAT 6.0. Please
upgrade your reader to this current version or the
document may not load.

Thank you all for your submissions.
