DINNER MEETING
Thursday, November 4, 2004

Tour of Special Collections
University of California, Davis
 
Join your chapter associates and friends as Daryl Morrison, Department
Head, gives us a personalized tour of the Shields Library Department of
Special Collections. Ms. Morrison will show us some of the more
noteworthy sections of this fascinating body of materials including
one-third of UC Davis's incomparable wine collection.

We will start the evening with dinner at the Orange Hut. Around 7:00
we will walk to Shields Library to begin the tour of Special
Collections (about one and one-half blocks) about 7:15.

Orange Hut, 226 3rd Street
(Corner of 3rd Street and University Avenue at the edge of UC Davis
campus) Davis, CA

5:30 pm Social Hour/Networking
6:00 Dinner
7:15 Tour

Our meal will be buffet style, with Egg Rolls, Hot & Sour Soup,
General's Chicken with bell peppers and spicy sauce, Spicy Pork with
cabbage, Broccoli Beef (mild) and Prawns in Assorted Vegetables (mild).
Vegetarian options will be Vegetable Chow Fun and Szechuan Style String
Beans with yellow onions. Dessert will include fresh sliced oranges.
Beverages will include hot tea and soft drinks; beer will be available
at an extra charge.

Parking is available at Lot 10 at the corner of First Street and Old
Davis Road for $6. Free parking is available after 6 p.m. anywhere along
B Street or Second Street; there is free diagonal parking on C Street at
Central Park.
