Making Libraries Relevant in the 21st Century
Susan Hildreth was appointed State Librarian of California in July 2004 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Prior to her appointment, Susan worked in a variety of positions in Northern California including City Librarian of San Francisco, planning consultant for the Library Development Services Bureau of the California State Library, and Deputy Director for Support Services for the Sacramento Public Library.

Oaxaca) dipped in spicy tomatillo sauce and topped with queso Casero; Sopa de Frijoles Negros, black beans, sweet plantains, spinach and tomatoes in a vegetable broth. Dessert: Platano Macho, sweet plantains golden pan-fried sprinkled with brown sugar and cinnamon; Flan; Tequila Sorbet, fruit sorbet topped with tequila. Beverages: coffee, tea or soft drink, all with refills.
