good thought, Peg; thanks.

If folks want to go on 9/16 & you are all members, let me know by next
week & we can do it that way....Or I can see what I can work out.

This won't take the place of the tour for November, though; that's
already in the works.

If you want a docent led tour, you should contact the Museum to
arrange
a tour. Saturdays and Sundays are possible. Evenings are probably
not.
I am an Art Docent at the Oakland Museum and I know we have been asked
to volunteer to lead tours. I have to get trained first.

There is a member event on Friday night, September 16th to view the
show. So you might want to join ahead of time.

The Oakland Museum of California is a great resource for art, history
and natural sciences. Great permanent collections.

Maybe we can convice our Tours Chair to think about a tour of that!
(smile, Sandy, as I twist your arm).
Karin and I saw it at the Smithsonian last year..its like a mini Hall
of Fame.
The associated events look very interesting as well.
Thanks, Paula for sharing this.
