Let me (or us) know what you here. I have the same question and a similar Dell Inspiron.

Help!

I'm wanting to use my laptop to provide some reference services to Katrina survivors at St. Mary's Cathedral. Trouble is, I haven't a clue how to make it wireless. I know, I know I could spend a lot of time figuring it out, but I don't have it and figuring out techy/computer stuff destroys my brains cells like you wouldn't believe. If someone who has gone through the process can advise me, I would truly appreciate it.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1000 and this is its networking capacity:
Networking
Data link protocol
Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, Fast Ethernet

Networking compliant standards
IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g

Networking type
Network adapter

I'm wanting to know what I need to buy/do to be able to walk into the church and have wireless internet access.

thanks in advance, michele
