Challenging Opportunity - Firmwide Corporate Librarian - Temporary -

 New York City or San Francisco

 

A premier law firm based in San Francisco seeks a corporate librarian to
provide complex reference/research services firmwide in the areas of
corporate/securities and related practices for a Temporary Assignment in
either its New York or San Francisco office. This firm has more than one
thousand lawyers in nineteen offices around the world, offers expertise in
finance, life sciences, technology, litigation skills, and has an unrivaled
reach across the Pacific Rim.

 

The Position: The Firmwide Corporate Librarian will perform complex legal
and business research and reference services as the contact for extensive
research on company financial history, securities filings and other
corporate research. This will be primarily for the corporate/securities
groups in all offices.

 

Requirements: The successful candidate will have an MLS and 3 years of
experience, or a BA with 5 years of experience working in a law firm with
the emphasis on corporate securities. In addition to having
corporate securities library skills, the candidate

should also have a keen understanding of the corporate securities
industry and be current regarding industry developments. Must have
demonstrated commitment to customer service consistent with the firm's
Operating Principles. The Library exists to provide service. In addition,
the successful candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational and
problem solving skills. Exceptional knowledge of both legal and business
online services-- Lexis, Thomson Financials, LivEdgar, etc.
