Developing Dialog Searching Expertise, Part 3: Advanced (Classic Dialog)
        Experienced Dialog searchers are introduced the features and
commands that make Dialog unique among online information services. During
this 3-hour class, explore the power of Dialog's data analysis tool (RANK);
customized output options: (PRINT, SORT and REPORT); techniques for working
with multi-page report databases; search SAVE features; advanced operators;
improving search precision using controlled vocabulary; and specialized
finding tools (Finder Files).
        
        0.3 CEU Credits
        Prerequisites: The 3-hour seminar assumes knowledge of basic system
commands at the level presented in one of the following introductory Dialog
seminars: Introduction to Dialog; Featuring DialogWeb or Introduction to
Dialog; Featuring DialogClassic or Introduction to DialogWeb or Classic
Dialog online course. (Level 2) [125005]

Pharmaceutical Science Information (Classic Dialog)
        This 3-hour seminar covers Dialog's pharmaceutical information
resources and strategies for searching the scientific pharmaceutical
literature. Strategies for creating comprehensive searches of drugs and drug
categories are illustrated with summary tables of databases appropriate for
these searches, as well as formulas for often-executed and useful
pharmaceutical searches, including: finding pre-clinical, clinical and
post-marketing data; drug therapy and pharmaceutics; toxicity/adverse
effects reports; and patent monitoring.
        
        0.3 CEU Credits.
        Prerequisites: The 3-hour seminar assumes knowledge of basic system
commands at the level presented in one of the following introductory Dialog
seminars: Introduction to Dialog; Featuring DialogWeb or Introduction to
Dialog; Featuring DialogClassic or Introduction to DialogWeb or Classic
Dialog online course. In addition, completion of the Biomedical Information
Seminar as well as a minimum of 3 months experience seaching Dialog are
