Please join us on Wednesday,October 6, for a tour of the King Library in San Jose.

 

Date: October 6, 2003 (Wednesday evening)

Time: 6:00 - 6:45 Registration, food, beverages

            6:45 - 7:45 Patricia Brevik, presentation, Q&A.

            8:00 Tour
 
University Library at San Jose State, in collaboration with the San Jose Public Library, merged the two libraries in August 2003. An innovative model serving as the Silicon Valley's 21stcentury information hub, the King Library won the Gale Publishing/Library Journal Library of the Year award for 2004.
 
Our tour features Dr. Patricia Senn Breivik, the Dean of the Library, who will speak about lifelong learning, its relationship to both the information literacy movement and the creation of the award winning King Library.
 
Appetizers and beverages will be served-- including beer and wine.
