Information Management Careers: Multi-industry perspectives and tips for
career development

 

The Special Libraries Association San Francisco-Bay Region Chapter,
Northern California Association of Law Libraries and the Northern
California & Nevada Medical Library Group invites you to a joint panel
discussion and catered reception.

 

When: April 27th, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Where: U.C. Berkeley S.I.M.S., South Hall, Room 110

 

Information professionals from a wide variety of industries including
medicine, architecture, corporate, legal and consulting will be
represented on our panel. Come hear how information workers manage and
mediate information and technology within a variety of industries and
organizations.

 

Topics to be discussed by the panel include:

* Tips for career development within different industries
* The information professional's role in the mediation of
technology and end users within different types of organizations
* Skills for success in information management within various
industries

Members of local professional organizations will be present at the
reception and available for your questions. Learn from their experience
and make contacts with professionals from a variety of industries while
you enjoy food and drink.

 

Door prizes including one year memberships to SLA, NOCALL and NCNMLG
