If I hadn't already scheduled one tour at the Oakland Museum I would be
tempted to schedule this one for us....of course, I could still do it.
:-)

I'm looking forward to that exhibit.

Oakland Museum mounted their own wonderful exhibit several years ago on
the old Pacific Coast League. I still drink my morning coffee every day
from the mug I bought at that exhibit so I can remember it. And anyone
who has gone to Lefty O'Doul's in San Francisco (a very good hofbrau, by
the way) will see lots of memorabilia from the SF Seals of that league.
(New space for a meeeting? <bg>)

I guess I will just have to go to the HOF! Thanks, Paula. Sandy

Thanks for the reminder about this exhibit, Marlene. Yes, indeedy, go
A's & Giants!

When my partner and I visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown,
they also had a great exhibit of baseball-related art. What a terrific
museum. And the HOF's library really is special!

The Hall has a wonderful traveling exhibit, Baseball as America,
http://www.baseballasamerica.org/, which displays many items from their
collection. We saw it in New York City in 2002 and in September it will
be here in Oakland. If you have any interest at all in baseball or on
the effect of sports on American culture (and vice versa), this is a
must see!
