Hi,
If I were a kid I would go crazy for the sea lions at Pier 39. (I still
do). There are usually other kid-related activities going on there as
well - mimes, face painting, etc. Good place for lunch too.

Michele,
Take the ferry to Angel Island and hike the perimeter, stopping
for a
picnic lunch along the way. Borrow/rent bikes and ride across the
Golden
Gate Bridge. If they are interested in Egypt, go to the Rosicrucian
Museum
in San Jose. The Tech Museum in San Jose is also supposed to be great,
and
their IMAX is showing Batman Begins through July 10 (among more
educational
films).
I'm gearing up for an invasion of slightly younger grandkids in
August, so please share any ideas that don't make it to the list at
large.

Nancy

Hey Ya'll,

I have a few ideas of things to do/places to go with her (and my
sister who is close to my age), but I'd really like to get some fresh
ideas. My niece is a complex mix of tomboy and girly girl (are they
all?). If you could share your ideas of the best things to do in the
bay area (for both my niece and my sis), i'd be much obliged.

thanks, m
