Phil doesn't seem to be subscribed to the list nor his he a current
member of SLA (according to the online SLA directory).
I cannot find any members from SBC either. Wonder if they still have
librarians.
Thanks,
Deb

Actually Pac Bell used to keep old books. They were often referred to

sure
what happened after I left in 1998. They kept an archive in the bowels
of
the building at the Rincon Center. Phil Sheridan was the former
librarian.
I wonder if he reads this list?

SBC pretty much does not keep old phone books - as far as I know, they
are
only interested in current data. Oakland Public Library Main Branch is
likely to have them (in print). I worked there for a while, and they
tried
to keep an ongoing phone book collection, from all over the world,
actually....
