Subject: FYI: Techno Trash recommendation

Did you resolve to clean out some old tech from your workplace or home for the new year? I recently used Green Disk and their "Techno Trash Can" service to dispose of 70 pounds of obsolete Jaz disks, CDs and dead batteries, for a mere $29.95, shipping included. (They will also take cell phones, keyboards, computer drives, you-name-it and dispose or recycle them responsibly.) This process was easy, secure and inexpensive.

If you're concerned that your old tech has proprietary data on it, Green Disk understands that, and exposes the relevant media to de-gaussing to effectively erase files before they recycle the disks. Then they send you confirmation of destruction for any audit purposes you may need.

Check out greendisk.com for more info.
