I hate to think this way but I am pretty sure that an organization that for all
intent and purpose promotes the notion of "homeland security" is not likely to want
to take a stand against the USA PATRIOT Act. I personally have been quite
disappointed in SLA's direction for quite a while and if it were not for my
fondness for the local chapters I would have not joined at all this year.
