GlobalClimate activities

The weather in the past, the record at the poles!

The weather now.

Climate is what you expect. Weather is what you get.

Everybody talks about the weather, nobody does anything about it. Mark Twain.

Earth Atmosphere Scale Model, wrap an earth globe in 0.5 mm thin plastic to show 90% of the atmosphere.

Model the Earth's Atmospheric Composition using rice.

Carbon Dioxide Model, Make a model of CO2 from tennis balls and hacksaw blades to show why it resonates only in the IR.

Temperature model, a model for temperature in a gas using styrofoam balls and a rat cage.

Infrared light, use a digital camera to see the infrared light from your TV remote control.

The weather of the future

Ice activities:

Ice Balloon Meanders

Ice Balloon Explorations

The Balloon Illusion

Ice in a beaker of isopropyl alcohol, it sinks!
